Plenty to do and plenty to see in North Dorset and West Wiltshire

There is no shortage of fun things to do and interesting places to visit when you stay at The Dairy House.  Aside from the fact that much of North Dorset and neighbouring West Wiltshire are designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are located between three of Britain's UNESCO World Heritage Sites  -  Stonehenge, Bath and the Jurassic Coast.  All three can provide a memorable day out but there is much, much more to do and see in the neighbourhood.

Many of these are nationally famous attractions such as Longleat (the lions are kept well under control but everyone gets lost in the Maze), beautiful National Trust properties such as Stourhead, only 15 minutes away, or the Cathedral Cities of Salisbury and Wells, both of which are in easy reach.

But there are also many delightful "Undiscovered Secrets" where we hope our local knowledge will provide you with some memorable experiences and a real taste of local life and people.

How about quadbiking across the beautiful scenery of the Wiltshire Downs, the chance to try your hand at controlling a bird of prey such as a falcon, a flight over Shaftesbury in a 1930's Gypsy Moth biplane or a visit to Britain's largest herd of bison?

Please see the following pages for more detail, both on our Firm Favourites and about our Undiscovered Secrets…………

Incidentally, we pride ourselves on the extent of the local information that we provide in The Dairy House but you are always welcome to ask for specific recommendations suited to your own family and preferences.  We do know the area well and have first hand experience of most of its many attractions.
