The Dairy House
Booking Conditions
1.
Contract
The contract entered into is between Gilbert & Sue Archdale, the owners of
The Dairy House, Motcombe, Dorset and the principal holidaymaker hereinafter
referred to as "The Hirer". The
contract is effective once the required deposit payment has been received from
The Hirer.
2.
Deposit Payment
For reservations made more than 8 weeks before the start date we request a
non-refundable deposit of 30% (thirty per cent) of the stated rental cost for
the relevant time period. In the
case of bookings made less than 8 weeks before the start date, full payment is
due on booking.
3.
Balance Outstanding
The full balance of the total holiday cost, including the housekeeping bond, is
payable not later than 8 weeks before the arrival date.
If not paid the owners reserve the right to cancel the booking, in which
case the 30% deposit will be forfeited.
4.
Booking alterations by the owner
If, for reasons beyond their control, the owners have to cancel or alter
arrangements made for The Hirer, they will make every effort to offer an
appropriate alternative. If The Hirer does not accept the alternative offered, the
owners will return to The Hirer any monies paid whereupon the owners' liability
will cease.
5.
Numbers in party/Suitability
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed eight unless by
prior arrangement with the owners. Please
note that The Dairy House is neither equipped for or suitable to host large
numbers of additional 'guests', either overnight or for example for a drinks
party or barbecue. The owners
reserve the right to refuse any booking which, in their opinion, is unsuitable
for The Dairy House. Please note we
do not normally accept single sex groups for weekend breaks.
6.
Occupancy
Occupancy is normally from 3 p.m.
on the start date to 10 a.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed by
the owners. Occupancy is from
Saturday to Saturday, unless agreed otherwise or for weekend or mid-week breaks.
7.
Cleaning
The Dairy House is cleaned
thoroughly by the owners in between lets. However
please make sure that you leave the property in a clean and tidy condition at
the end of your stay. Cleaning
materials and equipment are provided.
8.
Breakages and Damage
Please report any breakages or damage which may occur during your stay to the
owners immediately. The Hirer undertakes to pay for any damage or losses
incurred during occupation or any extra cleaning costs incurred.
The owners reserve the right to repossess the property if excessive
damage is caused by The Hirer or a member of the party.
A housekeeping bond of £100, payable in advance and refundable at the
end of your stay, is required.
9.
Smoking
Please note that in the interests of our guests, The Dairy House is a strictly non-smoking
property.
